# Context and attachments

Control the selected text, files, images, and extracted content included with a request.

## Context stays visible

Orylo models your prompt and reference context separately. Selected text, files, images, Assistant, and workspace remain visible and removable before you send. The assistant receives explicit reference-data boundaries rather than an invisible prompt rewrite.

## Selected text and files

Automatic selection capture is off by default. When enabled, Orylo reads the current selection before taking focus. If Accessibility access fails, it reports the failure instead of silently substituting clipboard contents.

> **Clipboard access is intentional**
> Orylo only reads ordinary clipboard content after an explicit paste. Concealed, transient, and auto-generated pasteboard items are not automatically attached.

## Stable local snapshots

When you add an image or file, Orylo stores a managed local snapshot. Quick Look, conversation history, resend, and the assistant all refer to that frozen content even if the original file later changes or moves.

## Limits and cleanup

- Up to eight images can be attached to one draft.
- Duplicate attachments are detected by normalized content, not display name.
- Removing an attachment from the draft prevents it from being sent.
- Deleting local history follows explicit Orylo data controls.
