# What is Orylo?

Understand where Orylo fits between your Mac, your work, and your existing assistants.

## A shortcut to the assistants you already use

Orylo is a native macOS menu bar app. Open a lightweight composer from anywhere, attach the context you choose, and send the request to an assistant that is already installed and configured on your Mac.

Orylo is not a model subscription or another full AI workspace. It is the action layer between what is in front of you and the agent that can help.

## Product principles

- Local first: conversations, attachments, assistant settings, and task state stay on your Mac.
- Visible context: text, files, images, assistant, and workspace remain reviewable before sending.
- Capability driven: Orylo shows what the connected assistant actually supports.
- Native by design: global shortcuts, Quick Look, system permissions, appearance, and accessibility follow macOS.

> The development app implements the core composer, conversations, assistants, Teams, Actions, local speech, and local OCR. Release signing, notarization, updates, and production account/payment integration are still being completed.
