# Schedule recurring work

Set up a local schedule and inspect each run separately.

<a id="create"></a>

## Create a schedule

Open Scheduled Tasks from the conversation sidebar. Use the + menu to create a task manually or through a setup conversation. Specify the request, Assistant, target conversation, time, and timezone.

Choose a one-time, daily, or weekly schedule, with a repeat limit or no fixed end. A run can use an existing conversation or start a new one. Saving an active schedule enables future triggers; it does not immediately run a test.

## Understand when work runs

Use a fixed timezone deliberately, especially when travelling. Verify the next scheduled time rather than assuming it follows your Mac’s current timezone.

> **Schedules run on your Mac, not in the cloud**
> Orylo must be running and the Mac must be awake. Missed runs are skipped by default; you can choose to catch up the most recent missed run within one hour.

<a id="history"></a>

## Pause and inspect

Pause a schedule to stop future triggers. A run already claimed can continue; stopping that run is a separate action.

Open run history to inspect success, failure, and the resulting conversation. A schedule’s active, paused, or completed state is distinct from the outcome of an individual run.
