# Review files & changes

Inspect an Agent’s work without treating every reported change as verified.

<a id="open"></a>

## Open the review sidebar

For an Agent conversation, open the right sidebar and choose Review changes or File explorer. Browse text, Markdown, images, and file differences without leaving the conversation.

The reader is not a file editor. Open a file in its default application when you need to edit it. Chat Assistants do not expose this project sidebar.

<a id="scopes"></a>

## Choose the scope

Do not use the Last turn view as proof of every filesystem change. Compare the working repository and inspect the result when completeness matters.

| Scope | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| Last turn | Completed file changes reported by the Agent for that turn; this can be incomplete. |
| Uncommitted | The working repository’s uncommitted changes. |
| Unstaged | Changes not yet staged in Git. |
| Staged | Changes already staged in Git. |

<a id="git"></a>

## Use Git actions deliberately

The Git actions menu can refresh, stage or unstage all, commit, fetch, push, and pull. These actions apply to the full Git repository that contains the current workspace.

A commit includes only staged content. Pull is fast-forward only. Read the result and resolve conflicts rather than assuming a requested action succeeded.
